Sirjan - Kerman - Yazd

Motorbike has been fixed, we don't know how the mecanician got the spare parts of this indian motorbike but it is fixed ...
Meanwhile, I went to Kerman by bus where I met Khatereh, a friend of Danesh as well as a friend of her with whom I spent two wonderful days ! I felt really part of the family again and we had great laughs together. They show me around everywhere and have been so kind with me ! We all had tears in the eyes when the bus left .... to Yazd where Laurent arrived completely exhausted after 11 hours driving from Sirjan .....
Check his website for more details ! (http://site.voila.fr/laurent.dufy/iran.htm)
We are leaving again tomorrow, we hope to be at the border within 5 to 10 days ...

This note to give a few elements on how I reconnected with my father's side of the family after more than 35 years. The most instrumental person and the one who actually closed the loop is Alexandra Aubertin, who travelled to Iran with a friend in the Summer of 2005. She mentions her visit to Kerman where she ended up meeting my father on her blog (Tuesday August 30):

Her friend Laurent, who decided to travel from Madras to Istambul on a motorbike, also mentions the visit to Kerman on his blog of Tuesday August 30:

Good reading!
